Marilyn Sterrenberg-Rose - Attorney
Marilyn Sterrenberg-Rose began her career in 1982 at the Denver firm of Hall & Evans, LLC, where she became a partner and co-chair of the insurance coverage department. She has concentrated her legal practice in insurance coverage and bad faith law since 1984. She joined Pearl Canter & Sterrenberg-Rose, a predecessor firm to Miletich Pearl LLC, in 2004.
Ms. Sterrenberg-Rose earned her early experience in and knowledge of the insurance industry while working as a casualty underwriter. Since that time, she has had extensive experience with a wide variety of claims, including in declaratory judgment actions and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, errors and omissions (E&O) liability, directors and officers (D&O) liability, employment practices liability, excess/umbrella, environmental liability, general liability, homeowners and automobile policies.
Ms. Sterrenberg-Rose handles claims at the primary and excess levels, and also represents clients with respect to bad faith issues arising out of the investigation, handling, defense, denial and settlement of claims. She has been retained to review both individual insurance policies and comprehensive insurance programs and to draft policy language, ranging from manuscripting entire policies to drafting endorsements addressing specific issues. She has also rendered policy drafting services in the context of D&O liability, E&O liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, environmental liability, excess/umbrella, partnership liability, lenders single interest, mortgage impairment, intellectual property liability, general liability, property and automobile liability insurance.
Ms. Sterrenberg-Rose is on the steering committee of the Southwest Chapter of Professional Liability Underwriting Society, and was selected as a Colorado "Super Lawyer" in the area of insurance coverage in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
