Amy L. Miletich - Attorney
Co-founder of Miletich Pearl LLC, Amy Miletich has over twenty years' experience in litigation and in counseling clients. Focused on employment and insurance law, Ms. Miletich enjoys an active and varied practice serving a range of clients.
Ms. Miletich has extensive experience with employment law matters. She has represented domestic and international private employers, public employers, and academic institutions in the defense of claims alleging violations of federal and state employment laws, including cases alleging sexual harassment and discrimination on the bases of gender, race, disability, national origin, age, and religion. She has also defended cases alleging violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and various state statutes.
Ms. Miletich also has experience in wrongful termination; constructive termination; retaliation; breach of contract; civil conspiracy; and negligent hiring, supervision, and retention matters. Ms. Miletich counsels employers on personnel policies and claims prevention issues, and has presented training and informational seminars to company management groups. She also consults with employers in reviewing and evaluating employment contracts and separation agreements.
Insurance law has also been a longtime focus of Ms. Miletich's practice. She has defended and advised insurance carriers in coverage matters, including litigation of alleged insurance bad faith. She has also represented insureds and numerous clients in the defense of suits involving professional liability, premises liability, environmental law, construction defects, personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, medical malpractice, and libel and slander.
Selected as one of the Colorado Super Lawyers for 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, Ms. Miletich is a frequent speaker and published author on employment law, insurance, and legal ethics. She is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Employment Law Committee of the Defense Research Institute. Before founding her own firm in 2001, Ms. Miletich was a partner with Tilly & Graves, P.C., a nationally known civil trial firm, in Denver.
